Patrick McDougall, who recently began PDX Bluescast, contacted us asking for a recording of a blues tune for his podcast. We sent him a live version of The Reggie Houston Arkestra doing "Just A Closer Walk With Thee"-- recorded in October of 2005.

After the bluescast was released, Patrick sent us this excerpt from an email he'd received from one of his listeners:
"I downloaded #5 and was listening to it late last night while trying to get a project done on my computer. I'll admit I may have tuned out a bit at times...and suddenly I was listening to the most beautiful rendition of "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" that I've ever heard! I quit what I was doing and just soaked it in, then when it was done shut the computer off and went to bed. I woke up with it still running in my head, so listened to it again on the way to work to see if it was as good as I remembered. Turns out to be even better. So I logged onto Reggie Houston's website today and ordered his religious album. I realize that "Just..." isn't on it, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Anyway, thank-you so much for introducing him to me."
